ASYMMETRY BEGETS SYMMETRY
The asymmetric design of the Control rim offers some subtle but important benefits. With the spokes offset to one side of the rim, this allows us to reduce the spoke offset that usually occurs at the hub. In turn, this means Roval can generate greater bracing angles for the spokes between the hub and rim, while also minimizing the spoke tension differential that often occurs between drive- and non-drive side spokes. The end result is a wheel that is stronger, laterally stiffer, more durable, and in the case of the Control, allows us to utilize the same length spoke throughout the whole wheelset.

MINIMUM WEIGHT, MAXIMUM DURABILITY, EASY SERVICEABILITY
Striking a no-hassle balance between low weight and low maintenance, Roval chose DT Swiss 350 Classic hubs (15x110mm thru-axle front, 12x148mm thru-axle rear) as the basis for the Control Carbon wheels. With sealed bearings, a notoriously durable 36-tooth ratchet, and 28 spokes front and rear, dependability is assured.

There is absolutely no point in laying up an awesome rim and pairing it with a quality hub, only to skimp on spokes and nipples. So, keeping strength and dependability foremost in their minds, we opted to hold the Control Carbon wheel together with the best: DT Swiss Competition Race spokes and alloy Pro Lock nipples.
