A LEGEND REBORN
THE WFO 9 RDO: It's back!!
More than a decade since its first release, the Niner WFO 9 RDO is redesigned and drawing on years of 29-inch mountain bike evolution. Reborn with 170mm of stable CVA suspension, a 180mm-travel fork, adjustable geometry, increased frame stiffness, and Niner's signature RDO carbon fiber, the new generation of WFO 9 RDO is an enduro-ready brawler with the pedaling prowess to get you to the top in style.
The most popular kit in Niner's range, the fan-favorite 3-Star SRAM GX Eagle build is an ideal blend of performance and value for this long-travel 29er enduro bike. Fox Factory suspension and DT Swiss wheels complete an outstanding parts pick for the WFO.

- FEATURES -
The brawny big brother in Niner's family tree
With Niner's signature Rib Cage struts across the front triangle, flattening of the top and down tubes, widening the main rocker link pivot, and beefing up the rear triangle, the entire bike is stiff from front to back. The struts reduce bottom bracket deflection while keeping the upper portion of the front triangle supple and compliant. And the wide, flat surfaces on the top and downtube help to absorb frontal impacts and vibrations while resisting deflection and twisting under torsional load. Finally, crossmembers in the rocker link and swingarm keep the rear of the bike on lockdown.
Genetically engineered for "just right" geometry
Niner dialed in a "just right" geometry chart for the WFO 9 RDO. It's low and slack by nature, but not so slouchy as to kick you out of contention on the steepest climbs.
The native low geometry is optimized for all-out, top to bottom, brake-rotor-bluing descents. A 64-degree head tube angle combined with the low BB and long top tube scream "stability" even as eye-watering speeds.
Yet the wheelbase isn't so rangy as to prevent tight, uphill transitions when the need arises. And a 77-degree seat tube angle keeps your weight centered over the bottom bracket for composed climbing.
If your daily dose of dirt includes more pedaling, tighter corners, and sneaky sniper rocks, you might want a higher bottom bracket and steeper head tube angle. Not to worry - the built-in flip-chip seatrstay pivots allow riders to raise the BB by a full 9mm and steepen the geometry by 0.7 degrees.
CVA suspension
Niner’s Constantly Varying Arc, or CVA™, suspension design is a short dual-link, a four-bar system unique to Niner, developed in house and patented. It’s built to be supple yet stable, controlling unwanted suspension movement with calibrated anti-squat yet remaining active while climbing and descending. Courtesy of careful leverage ratio tuning, it’s sensitive to small bumps in the early stroke yet supportive in the mid-stroke, which gives riders a platform for pumping and popping off terrain. Going down, it’s consistent and controlled. With no need for heavy compression damping to control unwanted movement, CVA shocks are tuned for consistent, confidence inspiring behaviour on descents.
CVA suspension is perfectly balanced, so the result is stable yet supple, active, ground-hugging traction in every situation - cranking uphill, ripping downhill, and everywhere in between.
RDO carbon fiber
Carbon fiber is common, but care, quality and attention to detail are not. Niner RDO carbon fiber is a cut above. Niner starts with the best raw carbon grades layered precisely according to the stress points on the frame structure. Niner's process employs rigid internal molds in construction and results in a tighter, more consistent carbon fabric compaction. The result? Increased precision in wall thickness and reduced resin pooling in the final product. They can build more elaborate structures with better ride tuning, increased strength, outstanding durability, and less weight.
