- MOUNTAIN BIKING WITH A BOOST
- BEYOND CAPABLE, BOTH UP AND DOWN, IN EVEN THE MOST CHALLENGING TERRAIN
- MAXIMIZING FUN
WHEEL SIZE: 29" Front/27.5" Rear
SIZE RANGE: S, M, L, XL
COLOR: Gloss Grey/Black
Marin didn’t just add a battery, motor, controller to the Alpine Trail and call it a day. The Alpine Trail E was designed as a whole system, with everything from the frame to drivetrain to the individual components being individually selected to give the rider the best eMTB experience available.
The Alpine Trail E will take you further, faster, allowing you to tackle the most aggressive trails either up or down.
- ALPINE TRAIL E TECHNOLOGY -
SERIES 4 ALUMINUM FRAME
Alpine Trail E models are built upon our Series 4 aluminum frames, with detailed forgings, highly manipulated tubes, and full internal cable routing, giving the rider the highest-end alloy frame that Marin offers, compatible with modern coil or air shocks.
The Alpine Trail E features the same great, proven MultiTrac suspension technology, but optimized for the Shimano STEPS system. With this combination there is no need for platform or lockout levers, just get on and blast up the hills.
MIXED WHEEL SIZES
29” front and 27.5”+ rear wheel sizes are the ideal combination for the Alpine Trail E, with larger front wheel easily rolling over most any trail obstacle and offering the best cornering traction, while the burly 27.5” x 2.8” rear setup adds playfulness and enhances acceleration and braking traction.
DROPPER POST OPTIMIZED
The modern day trail rider needs their saddle out of the way at times, while low-slung frames require longer length posts. On the Alpine Trail E, seat tube lengths have been minimized, along with minimum insertion depths, so that riders of all sizes can get the proper extension needed.

- NGNathaniel G.Verified BuyerI recommend this productRated 5 stars1 week ago2022 Marin Alpine Trail E2.
After reading many glorious reviews on this bike, I had to try one. I’ve owned 8 emtbs ranging from 5k to 15k. The Marin in my eyes is a lot of bang for the buck. I just received it and put it together. My ride will come soon once these rainy days stop!
I would like to commend Gov Velo on their pricing, communication, cheap shipping, and Free Velo Bucks! All that is very rare to find nowadays. I’ve never seen a bike packaged so well in my life. Assembly took about 20 minutes (because I’m finicky) cable lengths weren’t excessive and I received my bike like 4 days after buying it.
Congrats to Gov Velo and their philosophy on how to do business and to recognize those that serve. Glad to give my hard earned dollars to some company like them. Was this helpful?

Marin nailed it with the design if the Alpine Trail E2 in every regard! This bike is amazing and confidence inspiring. The bike tracks very well and feels glued to the trails. The Fox suspension is killer and eats up all the bumps. I don’t have a single complaint. Just get out and ride! Was this helpful?
