  • BIG ALL-MOUNTAIN DAYS WHERE TRAVEL AND GEOMETRY MATTER MOST
  • BUILT FOR ABUSE AND ROWDY RIDING
  • ENDURO-STYLE RIDING AND RACING
  • BIG BIKE, BIG WHEELS, BIG FUN

WHEEL SIZE: 29"
SIZE RANGE: S, M, L, XL
SUSPENSION: 160/150mm

COLOR: Green/Black/Orange

  • The Series 4 aluminum alloy frame features high end 3D forged rocker links and dropouts, paired with highly manipulated tubing, to create a rough and tumble long travel bike that is stiff, strong, and ready to take what the nastiest trails dish out.

- ALPINE TRAIL TECHNOLOGY -

  • UNIDIRECTIONAL CARBON FIBER FRAME
Alpine Trail Carbon 1 and 2 models feature high modulus carbon fiber and monocoque construction to deliver the strongest and stiffest Alpine Trail to date.

  • ONE PIECE FORGED ROCKER
The heart of the Alpine Trail’s MultiTrac suspension is the forged one-piece rocker link. The strength and stiffness of the rocker keeps the rear of the bike tracking straight, providing smooth suspension operation under the most demanding conditions.

  • SERIES 4 ALUMINUM FRAME
Alpine Trail models feature Series 4 aluminum frames, with detailed forgings, highly manipulated tubes, and full internal cable routing, giving the rider the highest-end alloy frame that Marin offers.

  • BRIDGELESS SEATSTAY
The stiffness of the one-piece rocker link allows for a bridgeless seatstay design, offering zero compromises on stiffness while at the same time allowing for maximum tire clearance and short chainstays.

  • MODERN ANGLES
The Alpine Trail has a slack 63.5º head tube angle paired with a steep 78º seat tube angle and long reach to provide the best modern trail bike experience. The bike lets you climb better than ever before, while giving you even more confidence when descending.

    Fantastic bike!

Fantastic bike, I absolutely love it. It is a bit on the heavy side, but I knew that before ordering it. Ordering from GovVelo was great. It shipped quickly and arrived very well packaged. I only had a couple of issues: slightly bent derailleur hanger that threw off the shifting a bit and a front brake rotor rubbing. All seemed to happen during shipping. Local shop quickly fix everything and GovVelo even reimbursed me. I've ordered bikes online before. The difference with GovVelo is that the bikes are actually assembled by professional bike mechanics unlike other online sellers.

Now on to the bike. It descends like a beast, gives you so much confidence to just plow over things. Climbing is not its forte, but it does it with no problem. It'll get to the top, your buddies on hardtails or better climbing bikes will have to wait for you to get there, but you will get there...eventually. The tires are heavy and not fast rolling at all so they make climbing even more difficult. But they do provide plenty of traction and I'll take that trade off. Setting them up tubeless was a pain, they just wouldn't seat. I was using a floor pump though. I asked the local shop to use their air compressor and that worked just fine. Brake lever blades are the long 2-finger ones, but I just moved them slightly inwards for one finger braking. Seems to work just fine. Dropper post lever is a bit finicky and seems cheap, but still works for now. Will probably upgrade later down the road.

The Marin Alpine Trail 7 is a beast on the trails! I have made some bad purchases in life, this isn't one of them. Do yourself a favor and buy this bike. The MAT 7 will soak up any trail out there.
